SUMMARY:Treasure Peninsula - the Panto!
DESCRIPTION:Dunoon – it’s time to set sail for our biggest adventure yet\, packed with pirates\, princesses\, and pure panto magic!\n\n\n \nDoors for Evening Performances 7.00pm and 2.00pm for Saturday Matinee. \nJoin us on a swashbuckling ‘treasure cruise’ down the Clyde. It’s the perfect festive treat for all the family. Oh yes\, it is! \n When wee Jimmy Pigeons and his mother Highland Hairy find a treasure map in Dunoon\, the Duke of Argyll charters the good ship Waverley to take them all to Treasure Island. But the terrible Long John Ginger and his band of dastardly pirates stage a mutiny along the way\, and they plan to steal the treasure! The rest of the crew are really princesses in disguise\, heading for Love Island to find the princes of their dreams. \nCan Scary Mary\, Pirate Queen of the Clyde\, teach the princesses how to use a cutlass? \nWill Feathers MacAw\, the giant talking parrot\, help save the day? \nIs the treasure even buried on an island? Or is it a peninsula? \nCome along for a swashbuckling adventure on the Firth of Clyde\, crammed with local jokes\, catchy songs\, and plenty of booing and cheering. \nDress code: \nYou don’t need to wear a pirate or princess costume to enjoy this show\, but the best ones will be rewarded with treasure! \nYouthstuff is Dunoon’s performing arts group for children and young people aged 10 – 18. Building on the sell-out success of Pure Freezin’ last year\, we’re back with a shorter\, slicker\, pantomime for all the family to enjoy. Oh yes we are! \nTickets £12 (general admission)/ £6 (under 18)/ FREE (under 5)

SUMMARY:Callum Beattie
DESCRIPTION:Come along to the Corran Halls to see Callum Beattie live with special guests Pistol Daisys !\n\n\nCallum Beattie’s route is paved with empathy\, a working class voice speaking with a profound truth and authenticity. It’s full of spirit. Honesty. What you see\, is what you get. The songwriter started his journey more than a decade ago\, and he’s done it the hard way – but\, as he insists “It’s the only path worth a damn.” \n \nHis 2026 album INDI was the number 1 Scottish album and number 4 in the National chart and his last 3 singles were all play listed on Radio 2.  After selling out Glasgow’s  OVO Hydro\, Edinburgh Castle\, and performing at Bowie Live on the Loch with David Bowie’s Glastonbury 2000 band\, Callum’s Winter Tour is definitely a more personal and exclusive engagement with fans. For the first time two shows will have setlists selected entirely by the fans coming to the gigs. \n \n“I’m absolutely buzzing to be back playing in more intimate venues\, where we can really feel the energy of the crowd. It’s what life is all about\, and I can’t wait!”  \n \nBrought up in a working class\, single-parent household on the fringes of Edinburgh\, Callum Beattie quickly gravitated towards music. It made him incredibly rebellious and determined. Failure was just never an option. \n \n“You have to have emotion\,” he says. “That’s what music is – it’s about making somebody feel better about their life. And it’s also storytelling. They’re all stories\, every song.” We all know things are really hard for everyone at the moment but let’s look at the positives and do positive things where we can. Callum and his manager Dave have raised over £1.1 million for charities over the last 4 years to help those in need.
