Over the weekend, Fitness Instructors, from Helensburgh and Campbeltown took part in an intensive Level 2 Indoor Cycling Instructor course, at the Mid Argyll Sports Centre, Lochgilphead courtesy of fitness training provider, HFE.

Anthony, Jack, James and Ronnie were put through their paces on the two-day course which saw them learn the fundamentals of delivering safe and effective indoor cycling sessions.

With their newly acquired qualifications, the lads are now able to offer spin classes. They have also boosted their dexterity in a highly competitive industry.

Sharon Gillies-McCallum, Business Development officer for liveArgyll said:

“Indoor cycling is one of our most popular classes, by increasing the number of those able to deliver the classes, we can provide additional classes as well as ensuring resilience of the already established offering.

The participants will be delivering the classes where necessary. It will also allow us to increase the program where possible as well as ensuring we have a robust structure to ensure no classes are cancelled, due to illness or annual leave.

The course content was perfect and the instructor was very knowledgeable in all aspects of cycling/spinning. Delivery exceeded expectations with everything being covered, with a good balance of theory and practical over the two days.”

Lee Cain, Director at HFE, said:

‘It’s so refreshing to see an organisation like liveArgyll investing into their staff. All too often, fitness industry employers leave it to their staff to find and fund their own training. It truly shows that Live Argyll are forward thinking and really care about their staff and the community’.

Well done lads!
