liveargyll Reading Challenge image 1

liveArgyll libraries  – Read for Summer!

We are inviting all Argyll and Bute primary school children to come along and read with us this summer.

Challenge

Your challenge – should you choose to accept it – is to read 5 books of your choosing from any of our libraries, including our online library #BorrowBox. All you need to do is call into your local library and pick up some books. Alternatively you can download any eBooks or eAudiobooks from our online library, or you can let our friendly, helpful library staff choose for you through our Click and Collect* service available in our main town libraries.

How to Join

To join the Read for Summer challenge fill out our online form below and get reading – hard copy registration forms can be uplifted from your local library.

Register your Books!

Once you have completed the challenge you should register the 5 books that you have read, then you can go to your local library during opening hours where you’ll receive a goodie bag along with a certificate – just for you. If you are unable to visit a library we will arrange for your goodie bag to be delivered to your school or any alternative address.

How to Register your Books

From Wednesday 23rd June the register form will be available at this page to register the books you have read. Fill out this form once you have completed the Read for Summer challenge, noting the title and author of each of the 5 books you have read.

Completion Form

Once you have read all five books you should register them here listing the book title and author of each and we will make arrangements for you to receive your goodie bag.

The challenge opens to all children aged 4 to 11 years on Wednesday 23rd June and closes on Friday 3rd September. Not a library member? No problem – just ask your grown up to help you join here.

Easy Peasy!

Follow our liveArgyll libraries Facebook page for updates on all the new children’s books that are coming your way!

Happy Reading!

*When filling out Click and Collect forms please add which subjects, authors and any interests you have to help our staff choose your books.
