About
Community Sport Hubs provide a home for sport. They bring together a collective of progressive sport clubs and key local partners who want to grow and develop sport in the community at all levels. The hubs focus on sustainable, community-led approaches that get clubs working together to develop welcoming, safe and fun environments for sport.
Community Sport Hubs are Lottery-funded and are one of sportscotland’s key programmes which support local sports clubs to play their part in a world class sporting system.
Each Community Sport Hub is unique, but the common thread is that each works to the following key principles:
1.Growth in participation
2.Engage the local community
3.Promote community leadership
4.Offer a range of sporting opportunities
5.Bring all appropriate (key) partners/groups/people together
Each community sport hub develops their own vision and values to ensure all involved are clear on the work they will do together.
