 Bookbug Sessions

A maximum of 10 adults per session will be accommodated in our larger libraries (numbers will be less in our smaller branches) and all sessions must be booked in advance by visiting your local library or calling during opening hours, or emailing. A waiting list will be in place should spaces become available for any session. If by any chance you are unable to attend a previously booked session we would ask that you contact the library so our staff can contact the next person on the waiting list.

In line with Scottish Government Guidelines, we would ask you to take a lateral flow test at least 24 hours before attending your pre-booked session. We also ask that should you feel in any way unwell before your session please let us know and we’ll cancel your booking.

What you can expect at our Bookbug sessions:

– Hand sanitizers will be provided on entry to the library.

– Face coverings must be worn at all times unless an individual is exempt

– The area used for our Bookbug sessions will be cleaned before and after each session takes place

– Singing is permitted in line with Scottish Government guidelines and we recommend that you sing downwards and directly to your little one/s.

– Booking details will be used for Test and Protect and information will be kept for a period of 12 days.

Our friendly library staff will be on hand to offer any advice or answer any questions that you may have regarding the session.

We are really looking forward to seeing you all again at liveArgyll libraries Bookbug sessions.

We understand that some families have not received their Baby or Toddler bags over the past year so we wanted to let you know that our libraries in Campbeltown, Dunoon, Helensburgh, Lochgilphead, Oban, Rothesay, Tarbert, Tiree and Tobermory have limited stock of both bags available. If you are one of these families you can contact our staff by phone during opening hours to arrange a convenient time to pick up your bag. If we run out of stock we’ll take your details and let you know once we have received more bags.  Please click here for our opening times and contact details: https://liveargyll.co.uk/facilities/libraries
