Bookbug Week at liveArgyll Libraries! 16 – 23 May 2022

We are so excited to celebrate Bookbug Week with you all this year.

This year’s theme is ‘Bookbug’s Big Journey’ and we’ll be sharing lots of photos and short videos of Bookbug’s recent tour of our libraries on our Facebook page, throughout the week.

Our special ‘Journey’ themed sessions are not to be missed. There will be extra special sessions at Dunoon and Oban where a VIP will be visiting. Can you guess who it will be?

We’ll have colouring sheets for the wee ones although all you grown-ups are welcome to have a wee colour in too. We’ll also have some fantastic giveaways and prize draws at all sessions too!

Not to be missed are our ‘Bookbug and Janice’ short videos. Janice has been on a journey with Bookbug, touring the beautiful island of Bute. They’ve even been to Mount Stuart House to film in the lovely gardens and to the Ettrick Bay Tearoom where they had fun at the playpark. There was also time to stop at liveArgyll’s Rothesay Leisure Centre where Bookbug had time for a workout and a visit to Rothesay Museum for a wee bit of culture. They visited the Police Station too – no arrests though. Phew! After all of that there was still time for a play at the park and to meet some new friends.

We can’t wait to see you all for Bookbug’s Big Journey! #BookbugWeek
