To support community sports clubs and organisations during the COVID pandemic, and as restrictions start to lift again, a grant was opened to Community Sport Hub members. The grants were available to:

  1. Aid return to sport following COVID guidelines
  2. Keep members active and connected through COVID and winter
  3. Ensure club resilience in face of further lockdowns
  4. Provide initiatives to support mental health and wellbeing of club members/ local community through physical activity

We are delighted to be able to fully or partially fund every application we received to support clubs and community groups in Argyll and Bute Community Sports Hubs.

Projects ranged from…

  • creating club websites to be able to share information and connect to current and new members easily
  • starting up and running youth sports again safely
  • purchasing equipment to open the club up to a youth section
  • deep cleaning of facilities
  • training new coaches to allow for more smaller group sizes
  • providing more equipment and equipment storage so it doesn’t need to be shared, allowing more people to take part and to store equipment safely
  • portable flood lights
  • Zoom subscriptions
  • winter boat building projects to keep members connected and involved in the club

Congratulations to the following clubs who received grants, feel free to contact them if interested in joining.
