liveArgyll libraries are open to all and all are welcome. We provide safe physical space in which to relax, learn, create and become part of our larger library community. Improving our shared health and wellbeing is at the very heart of the service that we provide.

We are aware of how important health and wellbeing is, not only within our library community but with all members and staff of liveArgyll and communities within Argyll and Bute.

With this in mind we now have available a collection of books focused on many themes within Health and Wellbeing. We have consulted our partners at the Reading Agency and have purchased books from the booklists that they have suggested which are suitable for all ages including our early years members and their families.

This curated collection is now available in each of our large town libraries and can be loaned and reserved by any liveArgyll library member.

We have ensured the books are easily identifiable by displaying them in their own section within the library. Please ask our friendly library staff for advice.

For members of our smaller libraries you will be able to reserve and uplift any available health and wellbeing title from your own library by placing a reservation online or by visiting the library.

We also provide virtual support with a varied collection of Health and Wellbeing titles available in our online library BorrowBox which can be accessed 24/7. Please enter ‘health and wellbeing’ into the search bar to identify the titles available to download or reserve.

You can also access our PressReader app for relevant up-to-date newspaper and magazine articles relating to all manner of health and wellbeing.

We would welcome feedback from this initiative and therefore suggest that you contact our library development team should you have any suggestions, ideas or indeed anything that you think would add to this particular service. Please contact libraryhq@liveargyll.co.uk.

If you are not already a member and wish to access all of the above please click here to join online.

Alternatively you can visit any of our libraries during opening hours to join but please take a form of photo ID with you along with proof of your current address.

The liveArgyll libraries Team are always here to help.
