Helensburgh’s JLB Hub officially opens

The John Logie Baird Innovation Hub, based in Helensburgh Library, is the perfect workspace for entrepreneurs, freelancers or those looking for an alternative office space.

The official opening ceremony, which took place on 23rd October, saw guests, including Argyll and Bute Provost Maurice Corry, Councillor Fiona Howard and members of Helensburgh Community Council, gather to learn more about the Hub and available services.

Available for up to eight workers at a time, users can opt for one-off hiring as and when required or choose from subscription options giving them access throughout the month. All options include high-speed Wi-Fi and access to additional meeting rooms. While the Hub is a great space to independently work from, we hope it will also provide opportunities for collaboration and idea-sharing between users.

Project Officer Pat McCann commented: ‘The JLB hub offers much more than just office accommodation for small firms and self-employed individuals or ‘hot-desking’ for entrepreneurs, innovators and start-ups wishing to grow their business. It allows users to work independently or together within a business community, sharing ideas and opportunities with other entrepreneurs.’
