What a year 2026 has been for Sport so far in Scotland! Scotland Men qualifying for the World Cup, and Glasgow hosting the Commonwealth Games has unified the nation and highlighted the importance of sport and physical activity for everyone. In celebration of this, the Scottish Government has invested £40 million pounds across Scotland to support the growth and development of sport and physical activity.
For this year only, liveArgyll are in a position to host an extended Summer of Sport with more highly subsidised activity for young people across the Active Schools and Sport service.
The Active Schools October Camp are able to offer highly reduced rates for young people enabling them to get the most out of sport and physical activity locally! Book now to avoid disappointment!
The sports and activities delivered each day will be determined by the number attending the camp, a choice element and suggestions from the Young People and of course the weather!
Typical activities that may be included are:
Basketball, Rounders, Uni-hoc, Dodgeball, First Shinty, Badminton, Touch Rugby, Netball, Football, Boccia and Athletics-based run, jump and throw activities.
