What a year for Sport in Scotland! Scotland Men qualifying for the World Cup, and Glasgow hosting the Commonwealth Games has unified the nation and highlighted the importance of sport and physical activity for everyone.
In celebration of this, the Scottish Government has invested £40 million pounds across Scotland to support the growth and development of sport and physical activity and, for this year only, liveArgyll are hosting a Summer of Sport with free and highly subsidised activity for young people across the Leisure, and Active Schools and Sport service.
The Active Schools Summer Camps are offering highly reduced rates for young people, with a range of sport and fun activities for young people to get the most out of a Summer of Sport! Book now to avoid disappointment!’
The sports and activities delivered each day will be determined by the number of young people on the camp, as well as the weather.
Typical activities that may be included are:
Football, Rounders, Uni-hoc, Dodgeball, First Shinty, Badminton, Touch Rugby, Basketball, Netball, and Athletics based run, jump and throw activities.
