A newly refurbished multipurpose building boasts our main event hall which can hold numbers up to 1000 standing, 700 seated and standing and up to 500 seated for concerts and other varied events. Weddings and private parties can also be arranged on request.

Within the building, as well as the above, we have licensed bars, fitness studios which hosts a varied selection of classes to suit all abilities, a dedicated spin studio, a children’s soft play area, and an extensive library with the best views in Dunoon. Our extremely popular café also plays host to various local bands and acts on a regular basis.

Room bookings in community centres and halls will be available from 5th July. Please email your booking enquiries to queenshall@liveargyll.co.uk  – you should include in your email the date and time of proposed booking and the number of people so the facility can consider the rooms that can accommodate social distancing requirements.

To help us adhere to current government restrictions and guidelines and to ensure the wellbeing of our customers we will request a COVID risk assessment is completed by all hirers. Staff will follow this up at the time of arranging bookings.

Within our fitness studios our fully qualified and knowledgable instructors deliver Functional Fitness, 30/30, Legs, Bums and Tums, Indoor Group Cycling, Stretch and Flex, Kettlebells, Circuit Conditioning, Core, Fat Burn Extreme, Here Come the Girls, Hatton Boxing and Jump Fit. All of the above are bookable from our reception team.

Gym Overview

Whether your goal is weightloss or exercise for general wellbeing, our fully air-conditioned gym has a fantastic range of state of the art Life Fitness cardiovascular and strength equipment. Customers have the ability to work out using both free weights and fixed resistance machines.

Our comprehensive range of cardiovascular equipment incorporates the *LF connect app which provides motivation and enables customers to track workouts, access personalised workouts and more!

Our fully qualified staff are on hand to help you get the most from your workout by offering guidance and support. They are also happy to provide personalised fitness programs free of charge!

Gym inductions are no longer compulsory unless aged 14 to 16 years old.

*LF Connect is an online website and app from Life Fitness.

7 x family pods/tables available per session – families from same household or bubble only

20 children max. per session. Children must be supervised at all times

Max 8 under 3s with adults in toddler section

Adults and children over 12 yrs need to social distance and wear masks when not seated at tables.

Library

Our libraries in Campbeltown, Dunoon, Helensburgh, Lochgilhead, Oban and Rothesay are offering limited browsing along with our Click & Collect service. You will be able to access our Public Network computers at each of these libraries with 30 minutes time slots which can be booked by contacting the relevant library by phone during opening hours. Please note that there will be 25 minutes allotted to computer screen time with 5 minutes allocated for cleaning at the end of each slot. Cleaning will be done by library staff.

Cardross, Tiree, Tobermory and Tarbert libraries are offering limited browsing.

Islay mobile is back on the road.

Bookbug sessions – Every Thursday at 11.30am and 14.00pm and now every Saturday at 2pm. All welcome!

     

There is a lift to the upper floor where there are:
